Over the Past Few Weeks

Hey guys, I wanted to give a quick check-up for what’s going on in my life right now! All-in-all I haven’t been up to much since To Kill a Mockingbird. However, I did realize that you guys might want to know about something special that my sister and i have been doing! So, without further ado, let’s get into this!!

Over the past two weeks my sister and I have been working tech(backstage) for the musical: High School Musical, out in Baker County. My sister has been working the spotlight for the same show. Well, I was under the impression that I was just going to be doing tech backstage. Unfortunately, one of the basketball players dislocated her knee. So, I was put in to replace her at the last minute. (I’m not complaining one bit, in fact I am really having fun, I just feel really bad for her.) Anyway, I am now playing TWO roles. Instead of just tech… I play the Wildcat Mascot, and Benny La Shootier (La shootie-air) and running tech in the back. I am in tech/actor Heaven! I love this so much, I never thought I would get the chance to do two things that I love about plays at the same time!

Another awesome thing, that I found out about yesterday, is that I have been nominated for Best Actor in a Play! My sister has also been nominated for Best Actress in a Play! We now have our names out there! This could lead to giant possibilities! This could lead to major opportunities! This… Could… Lead… To… A career in acting!! This could be a step in the right direction for me! This could lead to movies or even Television shows! (I don’t really know if this will really do that) Anyway, click here to vote for us! (Caleb and Caitlyn Fennell).

In conclusion, I have had a lot of stuff going on in my life. Hopefully this stuff has the potential to either put myself on the map or Baker County. If you enjoyed this short summary of the past couple of weeks, leave a like! Hit that subscribe button for more from Homeschooled Hero! Also, be sure to vote for Caleb and Caitlyn Fennell!

9th Grade English: Lesson 25

In this essay, for English, I am going to be writing about major turning points in my life. This is a big deal, because these are the kind of stories that will go into a good autobiography. This is a difficult topic for me, because I can only think of a couple major turning points. Anyway, let’s get into it and see how this turns out.

The first major turning point in my life would have to be when I went to LaVilla School of the Arts. This was a big deal for me, because it told me that I am good enough to go to a school specific for arts. (Arts= Dancing, Acting, Singing, etc.). I felt very good because I went for Acting, and many of the actors were really good. Anyway, LaVilla was a good place for me to start to develop my acting ability. I say this because, I got into my first play there. Also, it was my first lead role. That made me pretty confident that I was at least kind of good. From then on, I was sure that I would do my best whether I got the part or not.

The second major turning point in my life, was the switch to Homeschooling. My dad had said that he was considering it when I was in 6th grade, but he didn’t switch us until my 8th grade year. It was really in 7th grade that my dad decided that it was time to switch to Homeschooling. At the time, I thought that homeschooling was going to suck. However, now that I am in my second year of homeschool, I realize that it was one of the best decisions ever made. Being homeschooled gives me more freedom, two of the things that it enables me to do are plays and guitar lessons. These are important to me, because they both allow me to bump up my skill so that I am good enough to earn money for my talent and skill. That will become money in my pocket and bank account to fund my calling.

The third major turning point in my life thus far, was my part in To Kill a Mockingbird at Theatre Jacksonville. Theatre Jacksonville is a community theatre where you can start your career, or end it. This is a great place for me to get into the world, and start my journey to my calling. It is important, because it allows me to start my career and get to know some people. If you live in Florida and can get to the San Marco area, please come see us! Click here to pick the night and your seats!

Another major turning point, was my first job. I got this job while doing To Kill Mockingbird. The job is basically to help train doctors on how to communicate with adolescents suffering from Depression. It is so vitally important that we get this right, because if doctors can’t communicate effectively with the teens, the teen could die. This is something that all of us are working hard to stop from happening. Also, a lot of the kids are probably doing it because it pays $15 an hour.

In conclusion, I have a lot of turning points in my life. However, these are the major ones that could be a really big thing for me in the future. For example, To Kill a Mockingbird could lead to bigger shows and those shows could go into movies and TV shows… However, I digress. The point is, these are important for me and could give somebody insight to my life before I got famous (If I do manage to become famous.) Please like and subscribe for more from Homeschooled Hero! 9th Grade English Lesson 15: Heart Attack

For this essay, we will analyze the good things that happened because of Jim Lehrer’s heart attack. Now, some of you may thin that heart attacks are always bad, which they are, but good things can happen in turn because of them. Let’s get into this essay and learn about some of those good things.

One good thing that came out of Lehrer having a heart attack is the fact that he developed a healthier diet. In the book, Lehrer states that, “I had the eating habits of a pimply faced 15 year-old.” Then he goes on to list all of his dietary habits. This shows that prior to the heart attack he was not taking care of himself as far a diet goes. Then, once he had the heart attack, he changes his diet. He realized that what he was eating was slowly killing his heart and body. He realized that he was killing himself by eating garbage. So, he changed his diet in an effort to save himself from having a second heart attack.

Another good thing that happened because of the heart attack was that he stopped smoking. Jim Lehrer was a huge smoker. He stated in his book that he had smoked adamantly for 20 years. Lehrer was such a big smoker, that he even smoked while he was going to the hospital before he had his heart attack. Well, smoking is such a bad thing for people having heart attacks, that it actually speeds up the process. After Lehrer had his heart attack, he went on to stop smoking. One thing that helped him to do that was that every time he picked up his pipe he would think of the hospital, and that stopped him from wanting to smoke again.

The next really good thing that happened because of Lehrer’s heart attack was the documentary he made called Your heart My heart. Since that documentary was made, it made heart attacks to something that people made more attention to. Actually, Lehrer was informed later in that he had saved a girls life because of it. His documentary made a girl realize that she was having a heart attack, and she made it to the hospital with around 5 minutes to spare.

In conclusion, Lehrer made an impact not only in his life but in the life of others after he had his heart attack. Heart attacks can be something that causes you to step into the light of reality, or it can kill you. Hopefully, the latter doesn’t occur. Please like and subscribe for more fro Homeschooled Hero! 9th Grade English Lesson 10: Three Stories

Today, I was assigned to write an essay on the three stories I would have to include in my autobiography. I was struggling with a response to this topic, until now. So, let’s get into this essay, and knock it out of the park!

Until today, I hadn’t thought about stories in my life worthy of being “Must Haves.” However, once I did I discovered a couple stories that would help with the bigger picture of my life.  The first story I must include is the story of my Jacksonville Suns “bowling fail.” In this story, I was chosen from an audience of thousands, to bowl for free souvenirs. However, I missed all the pins on my first attempt. Well, then I was given a second chance, and I missed all the pins again!!

The next story is the story of my first guitar. In this story, I was in 3rd grade, and I had broken my collar bone. Well, that left me in a sling for the next 6 to 12 weeks, so I was pretty much unable to play the guitar. I had told myself that I would eventually play the guitar when I didn’t have a broken bone. Well, I wasn’t wrong but it wasn’t as soon as I would have wanted. So, then five years went by and I still hadn’t played the guitar. I then started taking guitar lessons, and I love playing it!

The third story is the story of Romulus. In this story, I got my first part in a play. I was given the male supporting lead role in my first school play. (This was before I started homeschooling.) Everyone thought that I shouldn’t have gotten the part because it was my first year of school at LaVilla. However, I showed them exactly why I got that part when I preformed.

Well, there you have it folks. Those are the three stories that I will have to include in my autobiography. I hope you enjoyed this essay. Please like and subscribe for more from Homeschooled Hero!

A Fresh(man) look on this years classes

This school year, I started many new classes. One of which was Guitar 1 with Florida Virtual School (FLVS). In Guitar 1 I learned many new things such as what timbre means in music. I am still using the Ron Paul Curriculum, but I am also using FLVS. So far, my classes are: Latin 1, Algebra 1, Guitar 1, Physical Science, Business 1, English 1: Autobiographies, and Public Speech.

I am very excited for this year to really start going off. I am excited because so far this school year is really fun. The cool thing about this school year is that if I finish a class, I can start another one in it’s stead. Although the year is definitely not the same as last, it will still as good if not better.

What is your school year like so far? Has it even started yet? How long have you been in school? Please feel free to answer one of these questions in the comments below. Or, ask one of your own. Also, what do you guys think of the new design for the site?

How the church members should have handled their situation like Jesus

In the book, In His Steps by Charles Sheldon, the church members are tasked with living by the question, “What would Jesus do?” However, it is never explained to us how these people know what Jesus would do. I know that many people would say, “You can figure it out by reading the Bible,” unfortunately then you would have to only find yourself in situations under the same exact circumstances. So, they should have started seeing things as Jesus would have. They also should have tried to stay out of situations he would disapprove of.

In conclusion, it is difficult to live by this question. However, it is not impossible. So, if you plan on  living that way, keep in mind you don’t know exactly what Jesus would do in every situation. However, you do know what he would not do, so go from there.

What Virginia Should done with the Money

Hey guys, I know that you probably think that this is about the STATE Virginia. However, it isn’t about that Virginia. This is about Virginia from the book In His Steps by Charles Sheldon. I was given the assignment to write about what Virginia should have done before donating $500,000 to the newspaper editor. My name is Homeschooled Hero and I hope that you enjoy this essay, so let’s get to it!

So, in the book, Virginia donates half a million dollars to the editor of a failing newspaper. She does this to help bring the paper back to a functional position. However, I feel that there is something that she should have done before donating that money. First she should have decided if the newspaper was WORTH funding. Then she should have checked to see if her family was in need of something that would require that money. Those are the first things that she should have done.

The only reason that she should have done those things before donating the money is because if her family DID need that money, she would have given it away to a failing newspaper and basically waste her money. Now, the first step is the MOST important because it determines if it is even worth considering donating the money. If she had done some research into the paper, she would have actually seen that the editor doesn’t publish stories that would be put into a successful paper. He puts stupid things that aren’t as important as others. For example he decided NOT to publish a story that showed the railroad breaking the law. He published something else that wasn’t important at all.

It may behoove you to know that the book was a very popular book for the Social Gospel. However, the author doesn’t really understand anything how businesses like a newspaper are run. In this sense, this book is very similar to Looking Backward. There are many problems in both books, and they both center around how businesses are run. Both authors don’t really know about how a business is run, how it stays functional, and how to make money. They rely upon how they think that businesses SHOULD  be run, and that is not how the business world works at all. That is the problem with authors like Charles Sheldon, they don’t know what they are writing about. They write about how the world ought to be, instead of how it is. Then, that makes it a big problem when they try to write because it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I find this to be a big problem.

In conclusion, Virginia should have looked into what she was investing into. She also should have made sure that her family wasn’t in need before she donated $500,000. I think that Charles Sheldon is a good writer, but he has no clue as to what the real world is. It will never be exactly perfect, and what he sees as perfect is not really. Please like and subscribe for more from me, Homeschooled Hero! If you enjoyed this essay leave a comment and let me know why you enjoyed it so much. If you have read the book, let me know what Virginia should have done before she donated the money.

What is the least plausible aspect of the plot so far?

Today I am writing about the book that I am currently reading for English. The book is called In His Steps by Charles Sheldon. The book takes place in a town where people are doing “wrong.” So, the pastor creates a challenge for the people at the church. A few people in the crowd decide to take up the challenge, they had to live their lives by asking “What would Jesus do?” The book follows several characters, but mostly focuses on the young woman known as Rachel. She is a self-centered and selfish person. Another way to describe Rachel is as an megalomaniac.

I think that the least plausible part of this book is living by what Jesus would do. I think that this is implausible because how would anyone know what Jesus would do? Sure, the Bible explains what he did, but you can’t go based off of that. Plus, this is a completely different time than when the Bible is set so he could do things very differently than he did then. Also, Jesus might be able to do many things that we as normal mortals wouldn’t be able to do in our wildest dreams. Thus, this is very implausible.

I would like to take this time to talk about Rachel. Rachel thinks that she is super-special, because of her beautiful voice. However, she has no sense of money or how to choose a good track to get her voice out there. For example, she was given an opportunity to earn a lot of money and get known. However, instead of taking this opportunity, she chose to stay singing at the church because she thought that she was getting a point out there by staying at the church, and making a difference in people’s lives. However, we find out that is not true later on when she sings for the workers. When she sings for the workers, after she sings, all of the people left and went back to the saloons. Not one of the workers had a single care in the world for what she sang about. Another problem, that I have with Rachel, is that she has rejected two men when they proposed to her. She rejected them both because she thought that her singing for people was much more important than getting married. She also thought both men rude for not even asking her on a date or getting to know her first, they just came up and asked for her hand in marriage.

In conclusion, living life by the code of “What would Jesus do?” is difficult and implausible. This not something that can be done just because you want to. You would have to actually know Jesus on a personal level in order to do this. Unfortunately not many people, that are alive, have that connection with Jesus. Also, Rachel is not the kind of person that you should ask to marry, because she is very self-centered. Please like and subscribe for more from Homeschooled Hero! President Ronald Reagan

Hey guys, today I am writing about the 40th President Of The United States. Ronald Reagan is considered by a large majority of Conservatives and Republicans, to be one of the very best Presidents in the history of the United States.

As I was doing my research, I realized that the current President, Donald Trump, seems to be very similar to Ronald Reagan. Actually, the day that I wrote my rough draft, I learned that Trump passed a bill that was very similar to a bill that Reagan signed when he was President. I hope that you guys see the similarities as well, but if you don’t feel free to leave a comment explaining why you feel otherwise. So without further adieu, let’s learn about Ronald Reagan.

Let’s start with his birth, Reagan was born on February 6, 1911. He was born in Illinois. Some personality traits that people commonly attribute to Reagan include his optimistic faith, and the fact that he always saw the best in people. Before World War 2, Reagan had held the jobs of a lifeguard, a radio announcer, and an actor. Let’s start with the lifeguarding. When Reagan was a lifeguard, he would never get his suit wet unless he was saving somebody, as were the rules at the time. He would actually have a wooden log that he would put notch into every-time that he would save somebody. Historians say that he saved around 75 people.

Now let’s talk about his radio announcer job. When Reagan was a radio announcer, he wouldn’t actually watch the games like announcers do today. This is a little strange, but there would be people at the game who would send telegrams with play-by-plays that Reagan would read into the microphone. One time, the telegraph information just stopped coming in, so Reagan had to stall. He started saying that the batter hit a foul and kept hitting them, until 12 which he thought was just ridiculous. Then, the machine turned back on and Reagan filled the nation in on the actual play-by-play. That was pretty scary for them, but I bet that Reagan had some fun.

Reagan was the first president to be elected out of a non-political position. He was an actor. Many people know that much, but some people don’t know this. They don’t know that Reagan was actually the first of two presidents to have been divorced. (The second is Donald Trump) Reagan’s first wife was Jane Wyman, he actually had a daughter with Jane, and he had to explain to her why her parents were getting divorced. However, he didn’t understand very well (Neither did his daughter) so that didn’t work very well. The divorce was completed in 1949. Then, in 1952, Reagan met his next wife Nancy Reagan. When he met Nancy, he was a Democrat but as time went on, he became a Conservative Republican. He also became a life member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). Another strange but cool connection between Trump and Reagan is that they are both the two oldest people to be elected president.

Many people don’t know this, but Reagan was actually the oldest president to be elected, he was inaugurated at 69 but the next day he turned 70. This was true until Donald Trump was inaugurated. Many people also don’t know that Reagan’s mom died of Alzheimer’s disease. This is probably why Reagan died of the disease himself.

Reagan’s legacy as a president is important to know. His legacy is as a firm and unswerving leader, which restored faith in the presidency after two decades of weak presidents, until Bill Clinton. When Bill Clinton went into office then the presidency started to slip again. However now that we have Trump, the economy seems to be changing in the same ways that it did when Reagan was president.

In conclusion, Ronald Reagan is arguably one of the top 3 best presidents in the history of the United States. I hope that you saw similarities between Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan. Again, if you didn’t leave a comment why not, or write a blog post on it and link to me! I hope that you enjoyed this essay. Please like and subscribe for more from Homeschooled Hero!

How Will Having a Blog With Lots of Content Help Me get My First Full-Time job After College?

So, at first I didn’t really understand what this question was asking me. Then, once I figured that out, I couldn’t come up with any ways to answer the question, which really bothered me. However, now I believe that I have figured it out. (I even went and asked my dad what he thought about the question to form an answer based off of how he explained it to me!!)

Having a blog with lots of content; let’s dissect this part of the question first shall we? This part is basically what tells me that I need to have lots of essays and little articles on my blog. This is pretty important, because it proves to district officials that I have actually done my school-work and then some extra pieces here and there. Now, how this will help me get a full-time job after college. This is going to help me get a full-time job after college because it will prove to the company or business that I have the skills necessary to create a proper resume. It will also help, should I decide to go into a field such as Journalism. Journalism is, obviously, a field full of writing. So, this would be a vital skill for Journalism.

I think that having a blog is important, not only because it keeps public school officials out of my parent’s hair, but because it really helps for people to develop their writing skills. My teacher, Gary North, made a very good point. He said that, “People are scared to put their writing out on the internet.” This is very true, I think that people are scared to do this, because they are afraid of being rejected as a writer, so they fear getting hurt. This is scary, but you shouldn’t just give up on writing because you are scared of being rejected. You need to accept the fact that you may not be at the peak of your talent yet, but this is to get you there. Plus, if the people who rejected you stick with you for a while, they may even see some major improvement as you continue to write. While you try to improve upon your writing skills, you could read some authors in the field that you are writing about. This is because, if the author is good, you could develop some of the writing techniques that author used when writing his or her stories. This is kind of like playing guitar. For me, when I watch somebody else playing guitar, I try to mimic some of the little things ad nuances that they do when playing, this helps to make me a better player. So, overall, the more good authors you read from that field, could make you a better writer.

In conclusion, reading other authors can make you a better writer, which will give a blog with lots of content, which will also help you to get a full-time job after college. So, overall having a full blog with good reviews and decent viewer activity can help you to get a job after college. Please like and subscribe for more from Homeschooled Hero!
